Mexican Symbols
-The Mexican flag represents the country's national coat of arms, or the union of the people
-In Mayan culture, the religious cross represents the direction of the wind. Most mayans are religious and believe in god.
-Sugar Skulls depict family members who have died, these are specially used in Día de los Muertos.
-Similarly to sugar skulls, monarch butterflies represent the souls of the deceased, and are often used in decoration in Día de los Muertos.
-Eagles are used to symbolize strength and power.
