Mexican Symbols

- The Mexican flag represents the country's  national coat of arms, or the union of the people -In Mayan culture, the religious cross represents the direction of the wind. Most mayans are religious and believe in god.  -Sugar Skulls depict family members who have died, these are specially used in Día de los Muertos. -Similarly to sugar skulls, monarch butterflies represent the souls of the deceased, and are often used in decoration in Día de los Muertos. -Eagles are used to symbolize strength and power.

Economy

  The Mexican economy has been growing at an average rate of 2.1 percent during the last 10 years despite the recent complicated international environment. The strength of Mexico in terms of its economy underlies in the responsible economic, financial, and commercial policies, which aims to strengthen the domestic market.  Mexico is considered as the 15th largest economy in the world, while leading exporter in the Latin America.

Forms of government

  In Mexico the main form of government is democracy, everybody gets to vote, and such, but government used to work differently. It started as a  viceroyalty, when the spanish conquered, that was the government they set, after independence it became presidency, and even went to dictatorship with Porfirio Díaz, and ended as democracy. To the date of the writing, the actual president is Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO).

Religion

In Mexico, the Catholic branch of Christianism is the most popular religion, with 78% of the population belonging or identifying with it, and 8% identifies as non-religious, evangelical protestants represent 11 percent, and other religions 1%. The catholic religion believes in  the oneness of God and the Trinity . the incarnation of Jesus Christ as the Son of God. the meaning of the crucifixion, resurrection and ascension of Jesus. the person and work of the Holy Spirit.

Language

  Mexico's official language is spanish, but there are multiple native languages, like Nahuatl, and Mayan. Spanish was originally brought and told to the natives by the Spanish conquistadors. Approximately 90% of the Mexican population speaks spanish. For a small fact, Mexico is the country with the biggest spanish-speaking population around the world.

Traditions and values

  Mexico is a country with many unique traditions and values in Mexico   values include  familism, respect, religion, and traditional gender roles  while mainstream values include independence/self-reliance and competition/personal achievement, while also traditions like, the Mexican independence day, Cinco de Mayo,  Dia de Muertos, and Posadas trough December.

Social organization

  Mexican society is  sharply divided by income and educational level . Although a middle class has struggled to expand in the cities, the principal division is between the wealthy well-educated elite and the urban and rural poor, who constitute the vast majority of the population.
